“ยาสูบ” เป็นพืชชนิดหนึ่งที่เป็นที่รู้จักกันในปลายศตวรรษที่ 10 แห่งฮิจเราะฮฺศักราช หลังจากที่มีการบริโภคอย่างแพร่หลาย นักวิชาการในยุคนั้นก็มีการถกปัญหาเกี่ยวกับทัศนะทางนิติศาสตร์อิสลามว่า “ยาสูบ” หรือ “บุหรี่” มีความชอบธรรมทางศาสนาเช่นไรบ้าง

อิสลาม เป็นคำสอนที่ถือว่ามนุษย์ทุกคน ถึงแม้จะแตกต่างด้านเชื้อชาติ สัญชาติและเผ่าพันธุ์ ต่างก็มีตระกูลอันดั้งเดิมที่มาจากครอบครัวเดียวกัน ดังอัลลอฮฺได้ตรัสไว้ความว่า “โอ้มนุษยชาติทั้งหลาย จงยำเกรงพระเจ้าของพวกเจ้า ที่ได้บังเกิดพวกเจ้ามาจากชีวิตหนึ่ง (นบีอาดัม)”(อันนิสาอ์ : 1) อัลลอฮฺยังได้ตรัสอีกความว่า “โอ้มนุษยชาติทั้งหลาย แท้จริงเราได้สร้างพวกเจ้าจากเพศชายและเพศหญิง และเราได้ให้พวกเจ้า

ยุคของนะบีมุฮัมมัด ถือเป็นยุคที่ดีเลิศของมนุษย์ ที่วางรากฐานการใช้ชีวิตได้อย่างสมบูรณ์ เป็นตัวอย่างที่ชัดเจนสำหรับมุสลิมในการใช้ชีวิตร่วมกันกับสังคมอื่นไม่ว่า จะอยู่ในฐานะใด ท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด สามารถประยุกต์ใช้คำสอนของอิสลามได้อย่างถูกต้องและสอดคล้องกับเจตนารมณ์ทุกสถานการณ์

ครอบครัวเป็นแหล่งกำเนิดแรกของมนุษย์ และยังเป็นแหล่งกำเนิดของอารยธรรมต่างๆด้วย ดังนั้น เราต้องศึกษาถึงคำสอนของหลักศาสนบัญญัติที่เกี่ยวกับครอบครัว ครอบครัวประกอบด้วยสามี ภรรยาและลูก คำสั่งของอิสลามเกี่ยวกับครอบครัวนั้นชัดเจน กล่าวคือ อิสลามกำหนดให้ผู้ชายเป็นผู้รับผิดชอบในการทำงานและจัดหาสิ่งจำเป็นต่อการ ดำรงชีวิตให้แก่ภรรยาและลูก และต้องคุ้มครองคนในครอบครัวให้พ้นจากความชั่วช้าเลวทรามต่างๆ ส่วนผู้หญิงได้กำหนดหน้าที่สำหรับการดูแลบ้าน อบรมและเลี้ยงดูลูก จัดหาความสะดวกสบายและความพึงพอใจให้แก่สามีและลู
